Waikoloa Beach Resort Vacation Rentals By Owner
"Vista Waikoloa - Excellent value in Waikoloa Beach Resort”
Reviewed June 17, 2012
Vista Waikoloa is one of the older properties in the resort, but it is very well-maintained. Nicely landscaped with mature plants, it is also a smaller complex than many you will find in this area. All of the public areas are quite nice. There is a pavilion
area with gas grills, though some units are equipped with their own. The pool area is very clean and updated, with two hot tubs and very comfy chairs. The pool itself is saline and is a lap pool, so it's only about three feet deep. But again, it's very well
kept. There is also a business office so you can print your boarding passes, and there is a small workout room there as well.
Buildings A through C or so will look out towards the ocean and the Hilton, then towards Kolea across the street with some possibility of some ocean view. The Kolea development has blocked most of the ocean views from Vista Waikoloa, except for Building A.
Units A102/A103 are the only ground floor, partial ocean view Vista condos having the larger 2 bedroom/2.5 bathroom floor layout. Upper floors of buildings C through Building F you will be looking at Kolea with still some partial ocean view, depending on your
unit. Buildings G on up front the golf course, no ocean views.
The location can't be beat - you are within walking distance to the Hilton and the Marriott, A-Bay, and both the King's and Queen's shops. Also an easy drive to other Kohala area beaches and attractions.
Another plus is you will experience less vog in Waikoloa than you will in Kona. The days we went into Kona looked more like a gray Seattle day than a tropical one.
Units are owned individually, so the decor and amenities will vary in each. All of the units we have seen were quite nicely appointed. They are pretty good size, with a large lanai that is accessed from both the living area and master bedroom. The second bedroom
is off the dining area and is closed off by sliding doors, which can be opened up for a more spacious feel if you don't need that bedroom. There is an elevator available in each building.
The units here are much less than most of the other complexes in the area, and still offer a lot of amenities and a quality vacation experience. It's a very good value for the money.

“Kolea 11D ........ Waikoloa vacation rentals amazing!!”

We recently rented Kolea 11D and the experience was amazing!! We had booked a different Kolea condo with but upon arrival was not given access to the booked Kolea villa. We had a toddler and were forced to spend the night in the Waikoloa Hilton hotel and was
not contacted by the other company til 2:00 the following day for access. But by then we had to rent another Kolea condo due to the fact that we had nowhere to stay. We booked with Rob from waikoloa vacation rentals and they truly were so accommodating. Kolea
11D was a beautiful condo and the pictures don't do it justice. We will definitely book with them again!! Amazing service and

Our Kolea condo did not have an ocean view - this really was not an issue as the complex had its own infinity pool/lava rock hot tub and beach access. Quiet location, easy walking distance from King and Queen shopping centre in Waikoloa. Kolea 11D was extremely
spacious with a wonderful lanai - bbq kitchen - where we spent most of our time. We would go back to the same spot in a heart beat. The whole complex is well designed and thought out.
“Kolea .....Right beside perfect beach”

The beach at this Kolea condo is fantastic. The beach is shared by the nearby Marriott, but it's big enough for everyone to enjoy a piece. During our stay, many of the west-coast beaches were closed due to strong shore-break, but this beach right by our condo
remained calm and safe. The waves break several hundred yards offshore, so the bay is protected. The quality of sand and swimming was excellent. We enjoyed some good snorkeling off to the north end of the beach area. There was no shortage of turtles to watch
either (from a distance).
There is wheelchair access, via an interconnecting path to the Marriott, to the beach. This leaves you about 25 yards from the water. Our elderly family member was able to shuffle the last little bit and get into the water.
Our ground-level unit at Kolea was a dream. It's very large, had a wonderfully-equipped kitchen, really nice furniture, and TVs in every room. The place was in excellent condition, and the housekeeping did a nice job of making it sparklingly clean. Parking
was ample and we were always able to park 20 feet from our door. There was minimal traffic and it was peaceful to sit outside and enjoy a drink in the evening.
“Kolea.....Quiet, Relaxing, and Upscale”

Once we decided on Waikoloa Beach Resort, I spent hours comparing condo developments before chosing Kolea. Our primary reasons for choosing Kolea was that they had outdoor kitchens on the lanais, the proximity to the beach, and how beautiful the condos were.
